What Can Be Recycled in Your Home?

In the 21st Century it’s all about being self-sufficient and looking after our planet and one of the easiest things you can do to help reduce your carbon footprint is to recycle, recycle, recyle! You’ll perhaps be surprised at just how much stuff can actually be recycled in your home…

The Obvious Stuff:

We all know we need to be recycling our paper, plastic, tins and cardboard and fortunately most of our councils will have a process in place – recycling bins that are collected from your home or an abundance of recycling units for you to take all these items.

Textiles:

We all need to have a good clear out now and again whether this is of your wardrobe, your shoe cupboard or your airing cupboard. All those clothes, shoes, towels and bedding you no longer want can all be recycled and reused so don’t just throw them away. Here at Recyclosaurus we take many of your items to charity!

Household Items:

Electrical equipment: The majority of your electrical and household appliances can now be completely recycled and their parts can be used again and again. Things like car batteries, cookers, dishwashers, fridges, freezers, hard drives, TV’s…. all these things can be recycled and they don’t have to end up in landfill!

Household furniture: Things like carpets, chairs, beds, mattresses, sofas and toys can all be recycled too. Whether their materials are used to make new, up-cycled items, or they are passed onto another family who can benefit from them, they can all have a second life and be used again.

Here at Recyclosaurus we’re the experts when it comes to recycling any unwanted goods. We carry out, house, office and garden clearances all year round and are proud to say we recycle 100% of the unwanted items and rubbish that we remove from people’s homes and offices.
